Future Projects
An institution looking to the future
The Institute is preparing a new chapter in its history: restoring a cherished gathering place, opening a space dedicated to creation, and reconnecting with its historic roots on the Côte d'Azur.
Vision
Keeping a century-old institution alive means carrying its heritage forward without setting it in stone: creating new places, opening new presences, transmitting in new ways.
La Cantine Russe — very soon
The return of a historic gathering place
A convivial space opened in 1933, La Cantine Russe was the meeting place of the Institute's artists, students, and friends. Its reopening in autumn 2026 will restore its original role: a place of dialogue, sharing, and cultural life, true to its founding spirit.
The Villa Rachmaninoff — coming soon
A space dedicated to creation and transmission
By 2028, the Institute will open the Villa Rachmaninoff, a residency conceived for demanding creative work: a setting where unhurried time, mastery of craft, and transmission between generations regain their rightful place. The project affirms a simple conviction: creation is also born of depth, craftsmanship, and continuity.
Nice — coming soon
A renewed presence on the Côte d'Azur
The Institute maintained a presence in Nice until the 1950s. Looking ahead to 2028, it is preparing to open a new branch on the Côte d'Azur, true to its threefold vocation: educational excellence, cultural outreach, and humanitarian welcome.
Outreach
Beyond Paris, the Institute aims to extend its model nationally and internationally while preserving its DNA: education, culture, humanitarian work, heritage, and creation.
Partnership & patronage
Supporting the Institute's future projects
La Cantine Russe, the Villa Rachmaninoff, and the Côte d'Azur are taking shape thanks to institutional support, the Rachmaninoff Circle, and the patrons committed to the Institute. Joining these projects means taking part in the next chapter of its history.
