Heritage
An exceptional heritage at the heart of the Institute
Archives, scores, works of art, historical documents: what the century has left within the walls of the Institute is not a static collection, but a living memory, preserved and passed on.
A place of history
A second home for exiles
Over the course of the century, 26 avenue de New York became a second home for many exiles. A culture of donations, bequests and transmission took shape there, bringing together scores, archives, works of art and historical documents that today form one of the Institute's most precious memories.

A living museum
Works of art, rooms and the memory of the place
Paintings, drawings, sculptures and historical documents form a collection in dialogue with the salons and study rooms. The place itself carries the memory of the institution. Guided tours can be arranged by appointment, within the limits of the spaces open to the public.
Rachmaninoff Library
A future consultation space
The Institute is preparing to open the Rachmaninoff Library, a space dedicated to consultation and preservation. The cataloging and safekeeping of the scores and archives are underway, with future access open to members, visitors, researchers, enthusiasts and professionals.
Digitization
Preserve, inventory, pass on. Digitizing the archives commits the Institute to a long-term undertaking, so that what has been entrusted to this place remains accessible to generations to come.
Call for donations & bequests
A heritage lives through those who choose to contribute to it. Works of art, scores, collections, documents or family archives can join a long chain of memory and transmission.
Support the heritage
Preserve and pass on
A financial gift, the transfer of a work of art, a score or a collection, or patronage of the digitization effort: there are several ways to help safeguard the Institute's heritage.
